So... exactly who is rocking you on a Friday night?

It’s Friday night and you and your crew are going to a hip new place that just opened up and all you’ve been hearing is that it is the hottest spot this side of the Mississippi.  You’ve taken the time to clean yourself up until you’re looking flyer than the sky. You’ve been on your cell phone all day calling and making arrangements to meet or pick up your friends.  The plan is to head into this new spot with your clique on some “takeover mission” and have the time of your lives.

The Organized Benefit Beatdown!!

Oh, the joys of organization!  One day you are sitting on your comfortable sofa in your living room watching TV, and while flicking through the hundreds of channels you happen to stop on a channel that shows a squirrel gathering nuts.  The squirrel is so adorable to you that the image becomes indelible in your mind. As the day goes on, you just can’t seem to get the picture of this precious squirrel out of your head and the fact that the poor little thing must be having an awful time trying to collect nuts and other types of food for it and its family to eat in a world controlled by those flesh-wearing monsters known as humans.

DJ Set-Up & Takedown in The Old Days

Man, has deejaying set-up &takedown changed over the years!   I remember back in the early 80’s when this one particular weekend Dad first brought home 2 little weird looking record players (turntables) and this funky unit he called a mixer.  Then the next week he brought home an extremely heavy amp, an accompanying pre-amp, and two huge speakers.  The following week he then spent money on a table, a microphone, headphones, a surge protector, an extension cord, and what seemed like an endless supply of rca and speaker cables.
